I am staying in US on I-94 extension. My L2 visa was expired. With the extension of I-94, can I apply for dependent visa for my family? Please let me know

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify further, I don't have valid petition because I didn't apply for I94 extension. At the port of entry itself immigration officer stamped I94 for 3 years so I didn't apply for petition extension.

Still can I apply for dependent visa just based on I-94 validity period?

How can you have I-94 beyond the date of your petition?

Anyway, if that is the case, that is not valid. Must be someone's mistake.

You need a valid petition as well.
