Hi,
I am currently in USA and I have approval for my L1 extension also approval for new H1 (without Change os Status). I will go for L1 stamping in this month in my home country.
My spouse was in H1 and got laid off in Oct 2009. So, he applied for L2 in Sep 2009 and the case is still pending. Meantime a company was willing to do H1 transfer recently and filed for the same and it is also pending.
My questions
1. As I go for my L1 stamping in Jan 2010, will it have any impact on my spouse's 2 cases L2 extension and H1 transfer?
2. What should I mention about my spouse status in DS 156/157 when I go for stamping this month?
3. As the L2 case is taking more than the average period mentioned (2.5 months) which is now almost 4 months, do we need to escalate or can we escalate the process? If yes, how to do the same?
