Need info on L1B andH4

Hi,
My wife is in India and holds valid L1B, I am planning to apply for H4 for her from my organisation. My questions are below:

1. If she gets H4 stamped on her passport,will the L1B get cancelled?
2. If L1B is not cancelled and she comes to USA on H4, can she switch to L1B and start working once her employer finds an opportunity for her in USA?

Can someone please provide the details?

• No. But depends on Visa Officer. Sometimes they might cancel.
• No. L1 is intra-company transfer, which means she should have been already working for that employer.

She is not planning to switch the company.. she is planning to come US on leave, and if her employer which filed L1B for her finds an opportunity in its US project, can she transfer back to L1B and start working?
