H1 after 6yrs- On L2 can start work

Hi, I will be completing 6yrs of H1 by This June 2010. my wife is also on H1 will be completing H1 in Nov 2010. I am moving out of US(Canada) in Jun 2010 and my wife will be coming out of US( will join me in Canada) in Nov 2010.

I will be coming back to US in July 2011(hopefully) my Question is:

1. Can I bring my wife with me on L2 and can she work after applying EAD, or will it be a problem to work ( or for approval of EAD) as my wife will be not out of US for one complete year??
