DS-160: Passport book number for India

I am not sure if Indian passports have a book number. There is a file number at the back but I am not sure if thats the same thing.

Leave that field blank in DS160. I never filled that in my last 6 DS160s.

If the DS-160 form specifically asks for "Passport Book Number" and your Indian passport does not have a separate book number, you can usually leave this field blank or enter "N/A"
