Paper filed for my EAD renewal in mid November (this is my 2nd renewal, first went thru like a breeze in 2008). My current EAD expired on Jan 15th 2010.

Anyways, the check was encashed on Jan 7th and I received the receipt number on the same day.

Till now, there is no comunication or any activity done (i check my case online every couple of hours, hoping that something would have changed LOL!!!)

I have been working since 2005 and am continuing to work even now, hoping that my employer wont ask for extended EAD.
>>> It is illegal to work on an expired EAD. If caught both you and your employer will be in trouble. Your employer is not supposed to employ you / generate pay slips when you are not authorized to work.

Are there any options for me to expedite the process!!!
>>> If you have not received a decision within 90 days of receipt of a properly filed EAD application, you can get an interim EAD by appearing in person at a USCIS local office. You must bring proof of your identity and any notices that you have received from USCIS regarding your EAD application, such as EAD application receipt notice. Interim EAD will be granted for a period of 240 days and is subject to the conditions noted on the document.

Card Production ordered

Hello Sherwin,

I just received an email stating that my EAD card has been ordered for production.

I really hope that there shouldnt be any period lag between my old and new EAD, as my old EAD expired on Jan15th.
