Forgot my daughter's expired passport that has l2 Visa in it, can she re-enter?

i have an l1a visa, my wife and daughter are on l2 as dependents. My daughter is 8 years old.

We renewed my daughter's passport recently, her l2 is in her expired passport, which we have used in the past few months to travel outside the US.

We just traveled to Canada today, and realized we left my daughter's expired passport at home.

Can we re enter with her using an esta? Or is there any other options for her to re-enter the US?

Depends on her & your citizenship.

Another option is you to enter USA, get the passport, go back to Canada & bring her back.

Citizenship, we both are Irish citizens.

I thought of re entering and sending it to my wife, but it's 800 miles from here to our US home.

Based on my understanding, you can apply for ESTA or a new visa in Canada as well for her.
