L2 Extension approved, H1 approved but gave resignation to the company, travel on L2

Hi,

My L2 visa extension got approved and received I797A. Due to some personal work I came to India. I did not get my L2 Visa stamped because my Visa has expiration date till 2020 on my passport. Meanwhile my H1 petition got approved and received I797B with employer A. But I did not get my H1 visa stamped. Now I gave resignation to the employer A. If I want to go back to US on L2, should I get my L2 visa stamped though my visa expiry date is valid till 2020? any help is highly appreciated.

If the primary applicant (L1) is still maintaining the same L1 status, then you don't need a new L2 visa - you can use the existing one.
