L1A Individual Valid till 2023, I-94 expiring in less than 6 months

I am currently on L1A Individual and my visa stamp is valid till 21 OCT 2023. However my current Petition Expiry date is 13 NOV 2019. Following is my question:

Am I allowed to travel outside the US while my petition validity is less than 6 months?

Yes, you are allowed & need to return before your expiry of petition.

Also, file for petition extension now & get it approved - if you intent to enter after 13 Nov 2019.

On the safer side, better to return before 1-2 months of your petition expiry.

Thanks for the advice. I only have a short trip planned in May'19, but wanted to make sure that there was no minimum petition validity clause.
