  • I-94 expiring, L1B valid till May 2011

    Hello Experts,

I have L1B valid from May 2008 to May 2011. My passport is valid till March 2011.

Issue is that my I-94 is expiring on Jan 2011 and I have following questions:

    - How soon I should ask employer for L1 extension?
    - Usually how long does it take for USCIS to approve/deny it?
    - I head there are so many denials happening with L1 extension?

    Please advice.

    - How soon I should ask employer for L1 extension?
    >>> You can file an extension 6 months in advance of the current I-94 expiry.

    - Usually how long does it take for USCIS to approve/deny it?
    >>> 2-3 months by normal process and 15 days by premium.

    - I head there are so many denials happening with L1 extension?
    >>> Don't always believe what you hear.
