  • Travel Outside USA while L2 EAD documents submitted to USCIS

    Hi,
    Is travel outside USA restricted while L2 EAD application has been submitted? My spouse submitted the documents last week to USCIS. However there is an urgent need to travel to India next month for me and my spouse. Can we travel when the application is processing?
    If Yes - Do i need to submit any documents for i94 changes?
    If No - then our bad luck :-(

    Please help.

    Yes, its allowed for EAD, if you have valid petition/visa already in hand.

    No, your documents need to be valid at the time of filing application.

      Thanks Libra_14 . We have valid Visa and documents.
      But will it affect my spouse EAD application processing time (as the i94 will change when we step out of the country).
      He has already submitted the documents and waiting on his EAD approval.

        I have the same query. As I traveled back to India 2 months after applying L2 EAD.

        My timelines:
        --> 27th Sep 2019: USCIS receipt date
        --> 20th Nov 2019: Traveled back to India

        Will It be the reason for RFE (change in form i-94 ) as I am still in India?

          Trapti Putting your same question across the site won't really help much:
          I have L2 visa. My EAD application is received by USCIS on 27th September 2019. On 20th November 2019. I have traveled back to India to resume my work in India. Thinking to come back to the USA once I get EAD. Will it cause to RFE on EAD? Whether i-94 can be the reason for RFE? I traveled alone to India. My spouse (L1) is in
