  • [Need help] Update L2B and request visa stamp inside the US after L1B is updated

    Hello,

Please help to give me advice on my situation:
    - My daughter and I are both in L2B, I have EAD and I'm working in US
    - My spouse owns L1B visa.

Due to the company name changing, my spouse had to come back to our original country and do the Visa update. The new L1B has been issued successfully, the old blanket is terminated, and a new blanket (I-129S) is issued for the new L1B.

Now my family are in the US, our I-94 are still valid and my EAD is still valid.

    Please help to advice:
    - Do I need to update my daughter and my L2 status, how could I do that?
    - How about my EAD?
    - Can I also apply for visa stamp, so that I can go out and re-enter the US? How can I do that?

    Thanks.

You can continue to use that.

Yes, if you happen to go out of USA, you'll need a new visa to re-enter. USA visas are not issued within USA.

      Thank you for your feedback.

My concern now is mainly on the L2 Visa that I'm owning. This L2 is depended on the previous L1B from my spouse.
Now the L1B was terminated and they have issued a brand-new L1B whose PED is 1 year longer.

As the L2 is totally a dependent visa on an available L1B. I'm in concern if I'm still legal in the US if I don't do any status update with the USCIS.
