Question about L1 Visa

Hello,

I was wondering if you can assist. We are helping a Client purchase a home. He has a I94 form with L1 Status. He is sponsored by his employer. Our team is requiring a EAD Card. Nothing on the website states that since a person has a L1 Visa, the EAD card is not required.

The client states he did not get a EAD.

Please advise. Thanks!

L1 visa itself is a work permit. Therefore, people on L1 don't get EAD. I don't see any reason why you would ask someone to have EAD and not accept L1 instead.
