H4 and L1 Visa Stamped - H4 to L1

Hi,

My wife has both H4 visa and L1 Visa, both valid and stapmed in her passport. She is travelling to US in her H4 visa. Currently, her company doesn't have an assignment for her and so cannot travel in her L1 visa.

The question is once she arrives at US, can she apply for a Change of status from H4 to L1, if the company finds an assignment then? If Yes, please tell us the process?

Possible with H1B. It is not advisable to do that with L1 because of the nature of the petition. Possibilities of the COS from H4 to L1 is very less. The best thing for her is to travel back to the country where her company is and return back on L1.
