What are the options for converting / change of status from L1A blanket Visa to L2 dependant without traveling out of country?..

I have a similar question. I am currently in L-1A status, but I have an approved L2 as well. While I apply for I539 for COS - can i quit in the meantime - as per our attorney L2 change of status process time takes about 5-7 months. Or is there a faster way to get the stamping done? Like travel to a nearby country to enter the US again with an L2?Comment

Well, as long as you filed for COS, you can stop working & wait for your L2 to be approved. If you are already in USA, you don't need to go out & get visa stamped. An COS approval would be sufficient for you to continue living in USA.
At last if you still want, then yes, you can visit any country & get the visa stamped & return to USA.
