L2: Do I need new Visa Stamp to reenter US with 5 year valid visa and new I-797?

Hello,

I'm currently in my first extension of L2 visa.

In 2018, I was given a 5 year visa stamp valid from 01/14/2018 - 01/14/2023 and PED expiring on 01/14/2020.

I applied for my visa extension and got approved and my I797 form says, that it is valid 01/15/2020 - 01/14/2022.

If I go to India this year, do I need a new visa stamp to reenter United States or the old visa stamp with validity till Jan-2023 is sufficient to enter into US?

You dont need a new visa, just keep the original 797 with you when you re-enter into USA

Can I travel back to United States in September 2020 or am I not allowed till end of President Proclamation which is on December 31st, 2020?

The current visa stamp is valid and suffices for your entry.

Since you have a valid visa stamp in your passport, you should be fine to re-enter into USA.

US Embassies outside are not issuing new visas right now - so only those who are out of USA right now without a visa, have to wait till Jan 2021 to get their visa stamped & return to USA.
