L2 stay in US even after L1 leave US

Hi,

I work for indian company. I came to US on L1 visa and my wife on L2 visa.
My L1 and my wife L2 visas are expiring on Sept 2005. Our I94's are expiring on Jan 2006. I may have to go back to my offshore indian company in the month of July 2005. I will not be on the american company payrole any more. I will be working in the indian company from July 2005 and will be receiving indian salary.

My wife is persuing MS course on L2 visa status.

Here is my question. Can my wife stay in US till Jan 2006 ( till her I 94 expires ) even after I leave United states. Is that stay leagal. Can she still continue her studies on L2 status till Jan 2006. I appreciate your help.

I was just wondering if you can study while on L2 status? I mean don't we have to get a F1 for this..or she is studying part time?
