Hi,
i have a question about the L1 visa. I am a UK citizen based in the UK. I was previously employed at a London-based firm with a US office, but left in Oct 2020 for a new career in a different company. This ultimately fell through and my contacts at my prior employer are looking to re-employ me.
My ambition had been to transfer internally to the USA on an L1 visa prior to leaving. I would like to know if i were to be re-employed at LSEG this month, would i still be eligible for the L1? The USA Immigration website states that to be eligible you need to have worked at the company for at least 1 year continuously out of the last 3 years, which I have. It isnt clear though if a 'break' is allowed for the L1 or does the 'clock' restart if i were to be re-employed?
Thanks
Simon
