Hello, My dependents had an appointment for L2 extension in India (Interview waiver.. drop box) and US Immigration team asked for I 797. I never revived that from my Employer. Even though I 129 was provided still they asked for I 797. What is hte best way to get I 797 and who should provide that to me.

I - 797 is generally part of the petition package that employer provides. 797 is something that DHS issues to communicate any action. In this case, you need to obtain a 797 issued by DHS to your employer that tells them that the blanket petition is approved. Typically a copy of that is included by your employer or their attorneys as part of the petition package.

Did you ever applied for your L1 extension? If yes, then thats what they are asking for. L2 need to prove that the primary is still maintaining L1 status (I797 of L1 extension is the proof of that)Originally posted by Ashutoshsar View PostHello, My dependents had an appointment for L2 extension in India (Interview waiver.. drop box) and US Immigration team asked for I 797.
