  • First Yellow Slip and then Green Slip?

On my L2 interview in May I was given a yellow slip and they never replied up until the 70th day from interview. On 70th day they sent me an email with Green slip attached asking for my spouse's petition docs. I submitted all the docs, related petition within 2 days. Its been 3 weeks since I have submitted all the docs and nearly 100 days since my interview date.
Does anyone know how long they need more. Is there any dead line within which they have to answer us?
Has anyone gone thru this situation? I dont understand why they are taking so long for a dependent visa.
I also want to know if my spouse's employer can write a letter/email to US Embassy ND asking about this delay? Will it be any helpful?

---- The normal processing time is 4-6 weeks. It may take longer and how much longer is anybod's guess

Has anyone gone thru this situation? I dont understand why they are taking so long for a dependent visa.

---- There is no explanation for this other than guess work and pure speculation

---- Yes, the employer may write to the US Consulate, but by all means it will be of no help as the US Consulate will decide on the merits of the case and it cannot be influenced by anyone
