---- Have you completed your travel and then seeking answeres or are you about to travel. If you have completed your travel, then next time when you go for a visa stamping you can get a new photo

----- If you are about to travel form an overseas location to the US, you may have to reapply depending on how serious is the issue (if the photo is completely different from any original appearance of a photo that you may have

---- If the US Consulate has told you to reapply for the visa, go through the process of applying for the visa as is regularly done. IF you are referring to the fees to be paid by dd's then pay the entire fees as indicated.

---- It may be unfortunate that you have to pay the entire fees all over again, but there is no alternative

Actually i have to pay only one HDFC DD which is for L2 visa
And while fillng the appointment letter form online I had to give details like i m holding a valid visa (which is true as its not expired; only water mark is on my face) so my application is not a regular one but comes under the category of visa renewal Thats what i'm also told by my US lawyer.
Thank's for the information n looking forward for my re-interview process next week

My wife's US visa photo got water damaged

              Hi meg123,

I see that you got your visa re-stamped after water damage.

My wife's visa photo got water damaged during one of our holiday trips within the USA.
But she had to go to India for an emergency.
So, I emailed the consulate and they told me that she needs to re-apply for the visa.

I was just wondering, do we need the I-797 form again or is there another way ?
Can you explain what you did.
Her visa is still valid upto September 2012.
              Please advise ?
