My company is filing for GC through EB1C / L1A route. My PED for L1 is oct'22 and I need to get renewal done of my L1.

    1. Renew L1 by travelling overseas (appointment jul'22)
    Apply I-140 now May'22
    Get renewal done
    Apply I-485, 765, 131 in Jul

    2. Rewew L1 in US with premium processing, chances of RFEs.
    Apply I-140, 485, 765, 131 in May'22

which is a better option? please please advise..

    thank you so much !!

You really do not need to travel outside to get your L1 renewed.

As of now, since the dates are current, I would not take risk visiting outside & filing 485 upon return - you never know the date will remain current next month or not. The further you delay the more you delay your actual GC approval date.

my lawyer stated that we will be filing I-140,I-485,I-765 now and we will apply I-131 after our travel in 4 months. This should not cause any material delays in the overall process

It should be fine, considering you have a valid L1 visa stamped for your return.
