L1A extension approved ; can L2 go for dropbox stamping with L1

Hi ,
My L1A extension got recently approved . I have not yet filed for my spouse L2 extension which is due in a 1.5 month. Given the slow processing time for L2 extension , is it possible to proceed with dropbox stamping for my visa in India , and together apply for her L2 stamping without applying for her extension I 539. She would of-course need to travel back to India before her current I 94 expiry.

Form I-539 is to renew dependent's I94 date. By leaving the country before current I94 expires & re-entering will eventually equal to getting a new I94 without need of filing extension.

You both can get new visas stamped & re-enter into USA.
