  • L1B to L1A

    Hi,

I am currently in my fourth year of L1B visa (had got my extension approved).
My current L1B visa (3years + 2 year extn period) ends in April 2012.

What are the options avaialable for me to continue in USA beyond April,2012?
Can i convert my L1B to L1A at that point of time?

    Please suggest.

    Thanks.

    >>> You can go for H1B before 5 years on L1B gets over. If you have an approved labor you can get an the 7th year extension on H1B. If you have an approved I-140, you can apply for 3 year extension after the 6th year end on H1B (L1 + H1B together is for 6 years)

    >>> Yes, provided you qualify to get an L1A.
