Extension filed I539 (I797) for the same category L2 category on 6-28-22
Is she legally eligible to continue her job post 10/1/22 while waiting for her extension approval

If she has an unexpired L2 visa, and your L1 is extended, another option is for her to leave the US and re-enter, thereby immediately going into L2 status, and immediately being able to work.
