L1B extension approved

I have been following the threads related to L1B extension for quite a while. I just wanted to share my experience on the L1B extension.
I have applied for my extension at the end of Dec 2010 and got it approved from USCIS by end of Feb 2011.
Please make sure that you Emphasize on the specialized knowledge in the petition doc and also attached some proofs, for eg: certification. Please DO NOT mention the common skills found in the industry under your specialized knowledge.
Over and above that, One needs to have LUCK !!!!!

Just one more update: One of my friend was given a RFE for the L1B extension, but it got approved by USCIS after couple of months.

Congratulations on ur visa extension. Can you please explain what you meant by extension. Is it the extension you got after your initial 3 years or is there any possibility of extending it beyond 3+2 years. Thank you.

L1B can't be extended beyond 5 years.
It was my first extension after 3 years of initial petition. I am in the US for the last 2 years and I got extension approval for another 2 years. I have one more year left in my 5 years of eligibility. Hope this clarifies your doubts.

Hi, Are you applied the extension through premium processing or regular?After you got your petition receipt number how long it took to get the approval mail?Actually my I-94 is expiring on 30-May-11 and my company sent the documents to USICS on 4-Mar-11.
