L2 visa application

Hi,

I am in india and I have L1B-Blanket stamped and valid untill July 2012.
I want to apply L2 for my spouse to take her with me to USA.

The issue is: Visa dept of my company said that recently blanket petition/receipt number has changed so no one is sure if L2 will be granted on the old petition/receipt number.

Please advice on this.

PS: My L1B Petition and Visa both are valid.

Your spouse can apply for their Visa using your petition approval notice. But I don't understand why petition receipt number should change. Your spouse can use whichever latest petition your company provides.

L2 visa application

Thanks for prompt response Kabkaba.

My blanket petition was approved in Aug 2009.
Blanket Petition number got recently (few days back) changed for my company. Now should L2 be applied on my old petition number (since i have used that petition to get my L1B visa) or should my company file a new blanket petition and file for L2 with the new petition?
