Hi,
My current I 765 (EAD) status is approved and in the USCIS website case status is Card/ Document Production
it means can i go for job or do i need to wait to receive my EAD card since my EAD is approved and mailed. Please let me know.

It is best to wait until you actually receive it. You will get it in a week at max.

SSN for EAD

I am applying EAD for my spouse. Do we need to apply for SSN first to get EAD?

Or I can apply for both SSN and EAD at the same time? I appreciate your inputs.

I think you will need EAD to apply for SSN. Check with SSA officer, they can give you a list of documents required.

Actually we have applied for SSN yesterday and SSA officer didn't ask for EAD card and they told we will get SSN in 4 weeks time. So now do i need to wait for SSN to apply for EAD? Is SSN mandatory to get EAD?

Both are unrelated. You can apply for EAD as soon as you are in L2 status.

Applies to many other status like H4 etc except for L2 status. L2 can get SSN before getting an EAD.
