  • L2 Extension Filed , I94 and visa is going to expired soon.... URGENT Help Needed

My husband applied for L1b to L1a conversion and got approved on 21st March 2011. Now his L1a is valid till 30th June 2012.
His company applied for my Visa extension on 18th April 2011.For which i didn't receive any file no. till now.
Currently,I am on L2 visa which is going to expire on May 5th, 2011 same is the expire of I94 5th may 2011.
    My question is:
    1) Will my status be legal if i continue to stay in USA after 5th May, 2011? If yes then till what time?
    2) Will my status be legal if i continue to stay in USA after 5th, 2011 May and i didn't receive my file no.till then?
    3) In Case I need to fly within the usa after 5th may 2011 without even file no.(or status pending doc) then can i do that? will there is any risk of any kind at the airport?

URGENT HELP IS NEEDED .... ANY KIND OF HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED

You will need to get a copy of the receipt notice for the I-539 that they filed on your behalf. It will be delivered to whatever address they gave on the application.
If receipt date is before your I-94 date, you are allowed to stay in the US.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

      Thanks for the information...

I didn't receive the receipt and when i ask the HR people they said it will take mostly 5 weeks to come .... so what should I do in this case. We are planning to travel within USA on 9th may. Can I travel without the receipt copy?

Most probably you will not be asked for this within the US.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
