  • Getting a copy of L1 extension denial notice

My employer had applied on my behalf for my L1 extension recently.
However it got denied by USCIS and case status was updated on the USCIS website as being denied and a detailed denial letter was sent to my company.
When I asked my employer for the copy of the denial notice I was told that the company does not share that info with the employee.
My question is, as an employee for whom the company had petitioned for, do I have the right to get a copy of the detailed denial notice or is it the prerogative of the company? any thoughts in this regard would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

If you are present in the US and your I-94 has expired/is expiring, then the company needs to inform you that you need to leave the US. Otherwise, the petition itself is made by the company and they are not required to share it with you.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

      Hi Karth,

When did your company apply for your L1 extension, and when did you receive the denial? Before denial did they ask for any RFE?

      Thanks
