L2 I-94 expiry date problem

Hi,

My wife and child are on L2 and when they came to US, immigration officer did not write any expiry date on their I-94 form and just wrote L2 on it. Is this ok?

I am not sure whether this will create any problem in future especially when I am planning to go to India on vacation.

That is not okay. You all should visit the nearest CBP deferred inspection post at a nearby international airport and get it corrected. I hope your own I-94 is not expiring.
