L1 renewal system issue at New Delhi

I went for my L1 A blanket renewal today.

• There was some uncertainty on the visa fees to be paid. Since it was a re application of the same visa type, they has asked me not to pay 25k charge and only remit 125k. At the cashier counter, they said my company was exempted from this fee as well for some reason.
• Interview at the window was fine. They kept my passport but said they were experiencing some system slowness because of which they were unable to check some credentials of my company. If there is any issue, they will contact me early next week.

Not sure if this means anything. Any help?

My passport was taken on the 21st of Oct and VFS website still shows passport under process at consulate.. I am not sure how to check if my visa was approved or not. Can someone please help. I am uncertain because I was told during interview that they are checkign some of my company credentials and will get back to me in case of any problem.
