L1 to multiple H1

I'm working on L1 right now for Company L. There is company X processing my H1 and got a RFE. I'll know my decision my Nov 10.
Meanwhile there is another company Y ready to process my H1. Can I go ahead with Y for H1?

Can I choose any of these employers if I get approval for both?

Nothing stops another employer from filing H1 petition for you. Depending on which petition gets approved first and whether with or without change of status, you will have change employers. This is complicated.

What if I get approval for X on Nov-10 and Y on Nov-20 and both are change of status? Can I work only for X because that's what got approved first?
