Do we need L1 docs for H1 stamping?

My friend is going for H1 stamping on Nov 15 in India. He was in US until OCT in L1 and his H1 petition was processed under Consular processing.
Does he need to take his L1 paystubs for H1 stamping?

Mostly not needed, but advisable to carry.
