L1B to H1 Conversion during valid I94 period after L1B Expiry

Hi,

Currently I am in the US on L1B VISA with my family. L1B VISA expires by Mar2012 but my I94 is valid till May2014.

My company is planning to apply for H1B visa sometime during the mid of 2012 after my L1B expiry.

Is it possible to apply and get H1B granted during my stay in the US with valid I94 when my L1B has expired.

Please let me know.

Yes. Visa expiry does not matter. I-94 determines your status.
