  • BEP Letter and Cover letters for Visa Stamping/interview - L1B - blanket petition

    Hi Friends,

I have my interview on 13th December. immihelp has been very useful. I am posting this in a new thread so that the documents and their related discussion have a separate place which others can refer.

so basically, My l1b blanket petition applied by my company was approved after seeking evidence.

as we are part of BEP program, I have scheduled the interview using the BEP login of my organization and authority.

For the B1 visa stamping last year, all i carried was a bep letter and one cover latter with my manager from US writing a note on inviting me and my travel authorization.

However, for L1 i see the vfs site says they need cover letter with two authorized signatories, So kindly clarify my doubt and verify my understanding :

1.) we will require same kind of BEP letter form my org, singed by authorized authority.
2.) Cover letter which is basically giving details of my travel, and etc, now needs two signatures rather than one and both have to be from US branch.

So it the above things correct , and do i need any other letters ( apart from the barcode, ceac ds160 appointment confirmation, approved petition and other supporting documents )

Kindly give me your sugessions and guidance and share your experiences.

any guidance and sharing of your experiences in thsi regard is most helpful to me.

    Kind Regards,

    Chandan.

Your company will provide you with a justification/invite letter that will serve the purpose. Besides the list of docs advised to carry are listed below:

Additionally since yours is a blanket petition your firm will give you a standard packet which would have all the docs they always use and what others in your firms do, so you should be fine

        Hi Visak,

The US Site says, we need to prepare a cover letter with two authorized signatories. Does it mean a single letter with two signatures or two different latter.

Kindly help me with your expertise.

        Kind Regards,

        Chandan.

Its the same letter with 2 authorized signatories...also ask your immigration team for the doc checklist, that should help you as well

btw you mentioned that yours was a blanket petition and there was a RFE - when did this happen , I always thought for a blanket petition you just appeared for an interview

Things have changed since this august. My colleagues are surprised. For blanket, usually as u say, its only a plain formality to go and attend to the interview.

but as u see now, they are challenging every application. and moreover i work for a US based company, which has its establishment in india.

            things are changing bro!

i think your internal immigration team would have asked for this...and the reason , as you said, is to ensure that USCIS does not give you any trouble at the interview since for blanket USCIS sees your docs for the 1st time at the interview itself...
