I am on L1 B visa and came to US in Apr 2011.

By going through the other post I came to know that L1 B applicant can apply for GC.

Here are my few questions -

1) We have to have a employer to file GC?
2) Can't we file GC individual? If yes, then please tell me the procedure
3) I am having the Post Graduate Diploma through distance learning from Symbiosis, India. Did I fall under EB2 Category (I understand that in to fall under EB2 category job should also requires the advance degree)?
4) Can I study as part time in US on L1 B Visa?

Yes

Not an employment-based GC..there are other options like family-based for which you need a family member who is a US citizen to do it for you...but its not worth it, takes 12-13 yrs at least

Depends on the education evaluation but most likely no.You are also correct in that the job should require a advance degree

Thanks for clarifying my questions.

One more clarification is required, as you have mentioned that on L1 visa I can pursue further studies. Can you please advice does the online masters degree from accredited institute is valid for applying into the EB2 category?

Second question, for applying EB2 category does the master degree plays major role or the job or both?
Reason I am asking this question is, that I am having the job which requires masters degree and am holding the post graduate diploma also from my home country. But if for any reason during education evaluation if my PG diploma doesn't qualifies the criteria's then how this impact to my GC application filed under EB2 category
