L1 VISA Questions

Myself and My wife we both are working in US in L1 visa for different employers. My L1 is going to expire June 2012 and my employer not going to process GC, OR L1A Further. So planning to convert into L2-EAD.

My L1 Expire Date - 25 June 2012
My I-94 Expire Date - 25 June 2012

My wife L1B VISA Expire - 20 Sep 2012
My wife I-94 Expires - 20 sep 2014

Questions

1. Can i apply L2 and EAD now itself and continue to work until June 25th 2012 for the same Employer?

2. Can i apply L2 and EAD Together?

3. Can i allowed to work with L2 and EAD ? Because my current L1 going to reach maximum 5 years?

3. What is the time limit to approve both of these things?

4. Since her VISA Expires on 20th Sep 2012, Can i get the EAD till her i-94 date (till Sep 2014) ? What is the standard procedure?

Yes, you can.
2. Can i apply L2 and EAD Together?
Yes, in the same envelope. Add a cover letter explaining that you are filing both I-539 and I-765 together.
3. Can i allowed to work with L2 and EAD ? Because my current L1 going to reach maximum 5 years?
L2 status does not count towards the 5 year limit.
3. What is the time limit to approve both of these things?
It normally takes 2 to 3 months. If EAD has not been approved by the time your L1 I-94 expires, you must stop working, but you can stay in the US.
4. Since her VISA Expires on 20th Sep 2012, Can i get the EAD till her i-94 date (till Sep 2014) ? What is the standard procedure?
Yes, EAD and L2 I-94 will be according to the L1 I-94 of your spouse.

There is only 1 catch here. If your change of status to L2 gets approved and EAD is still pending (those are not approved together), then you must stop working until EAD is issued.
