Extension of L1 visa on I-94

Hi All,

If my L1 visa is expired and I have a valid I-94 till next year, Can I apply of L1 extension (after visa expired)??

Please suggest.

Visa is only an entry document to U.S. Your L1 status expiry will be determined based on the I-94. Extension of status should be filed only 6 months prior to the I-94 expiry date.
