Can I enter the USA with only 7 to 10 days valid visa?

Hi,

Currently I am on L1 visa and is going to expire in Aug 10th 2012. I am planning to go to India to get my L1 Visa extension stamping(fresh visa) for in last week of July 2012. In worst case scenario, if my Visa is not get stamped, can I come to back to US in the first week of August to vacate my apartment and close everything here and take my family back. When there is only 7 to 10 days valid visa, is Port of entry allow me to enter in USA?

When I attend the interview and rejected, still my existing(current) visa is valid?

When you attend the visa interview, the first thing they will do is cancel your existing visa before determining whether to issue you a new one or not. You will need a valid visa to enter U.S.
