L1 & I-94 extension to be applied along with H1B petition pending

Hi,

I work for company A on L1 visa. My L1 visa is about to expire in Jan-2013. My I-94 is also valid till Jan-2013.

Company B has applied for my H1-B petition. It is not a C-o-S petition as my recent travel to India and re-entering in US on L1-B caused it to be abandoned. My H1-B petition approval is still in pending status.

Now, company A wants to apply for my L1B extension.

1) Can I apply for L1B extension while my H1B petition is still in pending state?
2) What will be my status in case my L1B extension is approved and my H1B petition is also approved?
3) Also, say my H1B petition is approved first and my C-o-S is approved as well ... will L1 extension cause any impact on this?
4) When should I apply for L1B extension?
5) How can we withdraw the L1B extension in case my H1B petition and C-o-S both are approved.
