  • L1 Visa Eligibility

    Hi,

For My H1B i got denial notice recently.
My Employer told they will apply L1 for me now.

My total experience is 5 yrs 3 months ( 63 months ),i want to understand whether this 63 months of experience is enough for applying L1 Visa. ( I hold a Engineering degree of Computer science background )

I heard from my friends that 72 months is required for L1 Visa.Otherwise high chances of rejection is possible

Since seeing there is lot of rejections of L1 Visa, bit worried about this.

Please tell me whether i am eligible for L1 Visa.

    Thanks.

Why was H1B denied? Did they give a reason?

For L1B there is no rule that one has to be 72 Months experienced in order to get L1. Majority of the rejection are based around the "specialized skill set" definition, as L1B is for specialized skill sets, if you have unique specialized skill sets which very few people in your team and project have and are not easiliy and readily available in the market then it certainly is one of the positive sign for eligibility. Read around the questions that many users have posted in the experiences section to get an idea of what to expect. This is my opinion not legal advice.
