how to track my days outside US

Hi,

The 7 years of H1+L1 is exhausted and now have to wait for 365 days outside US to be eligible to re apply for H1/L1. Travelling now on B1/B2 frequently to US...my doubt is how are the dates tracked? And is it possible to get a status of the number of days spent outside US through any request?

Traveling frequently to US on B1/B2 will not reset your clock by 1 Year. You should stay away from US completely without any break for 1 full Year if you want a new H1/L1.


You should have all entry and exit records in your passports. If you are under the impression that they will individually calculate and add days spent outside US to reach at the 1 Year period, you are mistaken. As I said, your 1 Year clock will only reset if you have completely stayed out of US for 1 Full Year.
