Same AP sucking issue...long way to go

I applied for B1/B2 on 22 May 2013. Case still stuck in AP and today being 64 days. I read on **** **** * that Dubai consulate is reporting delays upto 175 days for AP. When you look at chennai US consulate case status report, there are cases of 2010 still stuck in AP. After reading that i changed my Holiday plans and applied for Canada, within 10 days I got mine and family 5 year multiple visa in 10 days.

One of my colleague appeared for B1/B2 interview @ Dubai on 27 Feb 2013 and he received his clearance on 05 March 2013, stamping completed in two days....which was really fast. But he is known in office since many years as one of the guys with vvvvv good luck n fortune. This fact endorsed it further!!!

            Keep updated whenever status change...

            Happy waiting

Been having US visas since 2000 (5 years of which for Student Visa). First time waiting under AP this long.

            Frustration and sadness level: infinite.
Since 150 days have passed try to email it to consulate. They should take some action now instead of giving standard reply

As mentioned on Dubai consulate website, you have to email them if you didnt receive status of your AP. Then they might track, or push

                Fareeha, explain more!

Also, I last sent the embassy in AD an inquiry about the status of AP and again, same reply. August 4th will mark 6 months.

Better option...Canada is a better n safe place to visit if you love nature. Just pick rent-a-car from airport and enjoy the green n lush nature with plenty of lakes

My friend who is a first time applicant to the USA (Visit purpose) applied at the US embassy in AD on December 15 and has been under AP since then, just received 'clearance' this past Thursday the 25th of July and will send his passport for visa stamping.

                      *There is hope*

Indeed we must have hope. I believe Consulate has responsibility to inform applicants...either issued or denied...even if takes years

Still no change in status. As I mentioned previously my friend applied on Dec 16 and only had a status change on July 25. That is a little over 7 months.

Also, the US embassy for security reasons has been closed since Sunday and will remain closed until Saturday Aug 10. Seriously not the time for these things. So unfortunate.

Anyone have any status change or update?

Embassy closure doesnt affect AP. Check your status. When washington updates... i assume this will be the first point to get updated.

I think fareeha's stamping finished and doesnt bother to update or visit this blog. It happens.........
