H1B Visa approved by VO -But status in administrative processing

Hi Friends,

Today I attended H1B interview at hyderabad and consular officer said my visa is approved and taken my passport. But if I see the status on ceac.state.gov. My application status shows "Administrative Processing".

They did not issue any 221g to me.

Has anyone faced this situation before?

whom should i contact regarding this?

How long does this status show?

Should I need to submit any documents?

Calm down admin processing status on the Ceac website is generic. If the VO told you its approved you will definitely be approved. Admin processing happens for everyone that has their passport taken. You should be worried about additional admin processing not this "normal" admin processing. I recently got my visa couple days ago and it took me 3 business days to get the visa and mine had the same exact status on ceac and thats why the consulate doesnt ask ppl to check that status, instead they give the other website to check status.
