  • O1B visa, processing time and premium fee issue

    Hello,
I applied for a O1B visa with the help of an immigration lawyer. USCIS received the I-129 form + premium processing fee on June 22nd. Unfortunately, we haven't heard from them and it's been more than a month now, also they were supposed to give us an answer in 2 weeks. I have my receipt number and checking every day, but nothing changes and all I can see is "You case was received"...
The premium fee wasn't even refunded, and as my visitor visa expired, I had to go back to my country one week ago.
I tried to call USCIS (800-375-5283), but they won't answer my questions as I'm not the petitioner...
I'm wondering if someone here has experienced the same situation, and how long should I expect to wait as I'm in a really uncomfortable situation right now and cannot stay forever in my country.

Thanks for your answers and advices, this is a very stressful time for me...
    E.

    Visa wait time

Have you heard anything? my case was Received on the 12th of June without the premium processing and I am yet to hear anything I am also being told that I can be given information which is incredibly frustrating I am waiting for this from another country and I will also have to return home if I don't get a response soon.
I hope you have now heard and received a refund.

Well like I said in my other post, there was a glitch in the immigration system last June, so we have to be patient...My case was received on June 22th with premium processing, my lawyer called them on August 6th and they told him that we're supposed to get "something" within the next 22 days.
Do you have a lawyer? Maybe he can answer some of your questions.
