  • Pregnant on O1

I am currently in the US on an O1 visa. I am pregnant. Am I able to give birth in the US and am I eligible for family leave without affecting my visa status?

Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to this question. You may need a guarantor who can provide for you during this period.
I also remembered that a child who is born on board an airplane has two citizenships and can fly for free on airplanes throughout his life
I'm not sure if this is true information, I don't remember the source of it, but it would be great if it was so

Generally, being pregnant and giving birth in the US does not affect your O1 visa status, as long as you continue to follow the terms of your visa. However, eligibility for family or maternity leave depends on your employer and whether you meet the requirements under policies like FMLA. It’s a good idea to speak with your employer’s HR department and an immigration lawyer to understand your specific situation.

Yes, you can give birth in the U.S. while on an O-1 visa, and it does not affect your visa status. Pregnancy and childbirth are considered personal/medical matters, not immigration violations.
