Multiple Visas - which is valid?

I have multiple visas in passport. First I got a 10-yr multiple entry Visitor/Tourist visa. Then had to get a student visa 5-yr multiple entry. The student visa expired but Visitor visa is still valid until 2006. Can I still use the Tourist Visa (issued first) while the student visa was issued a year after the first one or does it automatically cancel itself? I want to use the Tourist visa for a visit only, no longer a student anyway.

The visa which you currently holds stand valid and previous to any other visa cancel's itself.

say if u were on visitor visa but then you got a F1 visa and at that time you were going to school on F1 visa and not on B1/B2 visa so once your F1 visa expires then if you wanna visit you need to reapply for a visitor visa .
