I have problem with renewing my driving license and it is related to my immigration issue so i was wondering if anyone could help me out. Here is the problem:
I am from India and I came on F-1. My OPT expires August 13, 2005 and my H-1b starts on Oct 1, 2005. My driving license expired in August 1st week so when I went down to MVD to renew my license they told me that they can only extend it till Aug 13 which my OPT expires and they cant give me license between Aug 13 - Oct 1. This was very frustrating for me because i dont have any documents for the grace period so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestion for me like is there a document that i can get from immigration to prove that i am legal during grace period or is there any other option out there?
