Hi guys,
I am an international student from Vietnam with F1 visa type. I have this strange question about F1 visa. I am going to graduate my college degree after I finish the upcoming Fall semester 2016-2017. My visa will be expired in December 2016 and my I-20 is good until 2018. And I know that after I graduate, I have 60 days to stay in the US before departing the US. And during my last semester, I will apply for OPT which gives me another 90 days to stay in the US without being employed and a visa extension of 1 year. That is the total of 150 days (which approximately 5 months). During that 5 months, can I travel back to my home country Vietnam for like 2 months and go back to USA? If yes, do I need to renew my visa in Vietnam or the OPT will automatically update my visa extension? Any advise or suggestion? I really appreciate if you can help me with this strange scenario I have. Thank you so much !
